- Rosa Wiley married Jackson Rowe. Polly Frances Wiley (Sister to Rosa) married George Tackett. This was two sisters marrying two brothers. (From Hassell Tackett)
- Jackson Rowe was referred to as Jackie. Jackie and Rosa homesteaded 53 acres in Carlisle, KY. Jackie died at a young age of 44 on 19 September 1903 near Milburn. Rosa sold the land for $ 2,100 in 1920. Life was very hard for Rosa after Jackie died. Her youngest was just 2 years old. The boys had only one pair of pants and they worked in the fields with only their long tailed shirts and saving the one pair of pants for special occasions. When company would come, Rosa would hand their pants on the clothes line and the boys would know to put on their pants before coming in to the house. When Rosa called the boys to breakfast, they had better get up or else they wouldn't get any breakfast. Rosa was a small woman and she wore long dresses. Pulled her hair back in a bun and wore small round glasses. Rosa died from a stroke at age 77 in 1937.
